  <description>&lt;p&gt;The EU – West Africa Arts Fusion Residency &lt;span class="amp"&gt;&amp;&lt;/span&gt; Expo 2024 is designed to illuminate the world with the power of artistic fusion in the heart of West Africa, where numerous cultures merge.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This event will gather artists and creatives from Ghana, Togo, Benin, and EU Member States together to stimulate cross-continental collaboration and cultural interaction. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Selected artists will embark on a residency project in Ghana (near Accra, on the coast) culminating in a closing event at the residence of the EU Ambassador in Ghana, H.E. Irchad Razaaly in Accra. The artist residency is scheduled to take place from 10-19 February 2024.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Eligibility: &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;There are three categories for applications: fashion, music and visual arts.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Artists need to be of the following nationalities: Ghanaian, Togolese, Beninoise, national of one of the 27 EU Member States.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;In addition, nationals of Ghana, Togo and Benin should be able to prove they reside in one of these three countries: Ghana, Togo and Benin.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Nationals of the EU Member States need to reside either in one of the 27 EU Member States, or in Ghana, Togo or Benin.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Costs covered: &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;For the EU nationals, eligible transportation costs will include the cost of return flight fare and visa from an EU Member State (excluding overseas territories, only travel costs from the European territory of the EU is eligible) or overland fare from Benin, Togo and Ghana.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;For the Ghanaian, Togolese and Beninoise artists, eligible transportation costs will be from either Benin, or Togo or Ghana to the place of the residency in Ghana and back.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Artists will be provided GHC 800 (~60 EUR) per diem for each day of the 9-day programme, to sustain their basic needs and pay for meals.&lt;/li&gt;

  <description>&lt;p&gt;OneBeat Ghana is now accepting applications for socially engaged artist-entrepreneurs from Ghana, Nigeria and the U.S. (ages 19-35) to participate in an intensive 2-week residency from 6-20 November 2023. The Ghana-based program will convene 11-12 artists from all 3 countries to exchange and build strategies for stronger artist communities and creative economies in the region. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Fellows will participate in skill shares and discussions, creative exercises, workshops led by guest artists while working to develop project proposals. In today’s rapidly shifting music industry, musicians need to function not simply as artists, but as creative entrepreneurs to succeed. Musicians in these areas require systems of support in order to build stronger artistic communities. OneBeat Ghana will bring together a cohort of musician leaders who are leading the charge to build stronger creative economies in their region and support the development of innovative artist-led ventures and socially informed projects. Musicians are asked to apply with specific project ideas to work on during the programme. At the end of the residency, Fellows will be asked to develop a pitch or plan for the next steps of their projects, which will be presented in Accra.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;OneBeat Ghana’s Artistic Director is OneBeat alumnus Poetra Asantewa, a poet, organiser and founder of arts collective Black Girls Glow, based in Accra, Ghana. OneBeat Ghana serves as the pilot version of a new model of OneBeat Abroad exchange, focused on creative entrepreneurship and strategies to address issues faced by global musicians.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;All costs will be covered for OneBeat Fellows, including travel and accommodation.&lt;/strong&gt; Fellows will also receive a per diem and a modest honorarium.&lt;/p&gt;

  <description>&lt;p&gt;This year, the African Union celebrates its 20th anniversary since the organisation’s establishment at the Durban Summit of July 2002. Dubbed AU20, the celebrations are taking place under the theme ‘Our Africa, Our Future’ and will focus on the AU’s initiatives, successes, impact, challenges and the way forward. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As part of this commemoration, the African Union (AU), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is hosting a residency programme under the AU20 project for established writers from across Africa to produce a piece of work that celebrates the unity and potential of the African continent.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The writers residency will take the form of a hybrid programme, with two online meetings in October/November 2022 and a two-week physical residency at the Library Of Africa and The African Diaspora (LOATAD) in Accra, Ghana from 14-28 November 2022. The residency will culminate in a public event in Accra to showcase and discuss the written work.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Catering to the theme ‘Our Africa, Our Future’, five writers from the continent will be tasked to interpret the theme in a broad and expansive way across a selected genre, including fiction, narrative non-fiction and poetry. The work will be published in an e-book anthology to be released in early 2023.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;What is Expected of the Writers&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Be willing to commit to the entirety of the residency programme i.e. both digital (31 October – 7 November 2022) and physical (14-28 November 2022) sessions.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Produce a piece of writing between 5000 and 7000 words (or five poems for poets) on the theme ‘Our Africa, Our Future’ for publication in the e-book anthology. &lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Prepare a 500-word summary to promote the piece(s), for inclusion in the African Union’s flagship magazine, the AU ECHO.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Participate in the public event at the end of the residency, photography and videography of the creation process, and any publicity that may arise from the programme.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;h2&gt;What Writers Receive&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;All travel costs to, from and within Ghana.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Accommodation and board at LOATAD in Ghana.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Access to the library’s extensive resources.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;A stipend of US$1000.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Trips to relevant places of interest while in Ghana.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Meetings with key people in the Ghanaian/African literary space.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;h2&gt;Eligibility&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Established writers of fiction, narrative nonfiction, and poetry who have had at least one book/chapbook published by a reputable publisher, or pending publication/under contract (not including self-published work) or who have substantial publication credits in literary journals/magazines/newspapers, etc.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Writers can write their pieces in either French or English and must be able to communicate in English.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Writers must be both nationals of, and resident in, any African country.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Writers must own a valid passport and be willing to travel to Ghana to participate in the physical residency.&lt;/li&gt;

  <description>&lt;p&gt;In the kulturweit Tandem project, two participants – one from an African country and one from Germany – reappraise the history of colonialism and its effects on the present. Together you develop anti-racism projects that you can implement in theatres, museums and schools, in charities, initiatives or companies in Germany.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The programme consists of a two-month language course in your country, a four-week seminar on the African continent and a three-month project phase in Germany. All participants receive financial support and educational guidance.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The first round of the programme will take place between September 2022 and February 2023. You can apply if you live in Germany, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Namibia or Togo. The international seminar will take place in Kenya. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Through the kulturweit Tandem project, you are making a contribution to a world without discrimination. You will gain international experience, let your creativity run free during the project phase and build a network that you can stay involved with for a long time to come.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The kulturweit Tandem programme is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and is part of the German Government’s catalogue of measures tackling right-wing extremism and racism.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Kulturweit’s offer includes:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Coverage of the international and national travel costs for flights or trains to the seminar location and the placement centre&lt;/strong&gt; and subsidy for the two-month language course.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Accommodation and meals during the international seminar (2022 in Kenya).&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;A full-time job for three months in an institution in the cultural, educational or sustainability sector in Germany including monthly stipend of €750.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;International health, liability and accident insurance.&lt;/li&gt;

L’IFG bénéficie du soutien de « La Fabrique des résidences » de l’Institut français de Paris&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Conditions d’éligibilité&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Le programme de résidence au Ghana s’adresse à un artiste ou concepteur dans le monde du jeu vidéo :&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- De nationalité française.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- Parlant anglais (le Ghana est un pays anglophone ; l’anglais est la langue usitée).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- Engagé.e professionnellement dans une ou plusieurs disciplines artistiques et pouvant justifier de travaux antérieurs ;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- Autonome dans la gestion de la résidence ;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- Libéré.e de ses activités professionnelles durant toute la période de la résidence au Ghana.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Condition de séjour&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- Une indemnité de 4.800€ soit 160€/jour, pour 1 mois de résidence comprenant hébergement et défraiements sera attribuée au/à la lauréat.e ; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- Hébergement : hôtel ou location d’un lieu de vie pour le mois (budget compris dans le montant de l’indemnité proposée) pour lequel l’IFG pourra effectuer une réservation ou accompagner le/la lauréat.e.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;- Contribution à la recherche artistique et au développement de projet : o Une contribution forfaitaire pour le développement des projets artistiques du/de la lauréat.e de 1000€ sera versée par l’IFG.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Condition de transport&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;L’Institut français du Ghana prend en charge un billet d’avion international aller-retour ainsi que les frais de visa, pour un montant maximal de 1250€. L’IFG couvrira les frais de déplacement (avion, bus, etc.) éventuels sur le territoire ghanéen pour permettre au résident de se rendre dans les studios d’artistes/partenaires établis hors de la capitale jusqu’à hauteur de 500€.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Durée du séjour 30 jours à déterminer entre le mois de novembre 2020 et avril 2021.&lt;/p&gt;
